Back in Rexburg!

Marcus and I moved back to Rexburg on August 17th and we celebrated our anniversary on August 22nd! We still can't believe how fast a year went by. I've started student teaching in a 1st grade class and I will be graduating with my Bachelor's in December! Marcus is going to be taking some of his major classes. He graduates next December. So, life is good and we're working hard in school.

Back in Rexburg!

Marcus and I are back in Rexburg, Idaho. I am starting student teaching on Monday in a 1st grade class and I am very excited! After this semester I graduate! Marcus is taking some of his major classes and he is working. It should be a great semester!

Marcus's 24th Birthday!

Marcus had his 24th Birthday on August 11th! We had a great family party over at the Jankowski's a couple days before his birthday. On his birthday we went to a movie and had a nice dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Harrison. Happy Birthday Marcus!

Stinson Beach Trip

Marcus and I, and his brother and sister met my family up at Stinson Beach and we spent a great day there! I absolutely love the beach and I miss it already.

Six Flags

Marcus and I went to Six Flags Magic Mountain earlier this month and we had a blast! Sure it was a long drive, but we enjoyed every minute of it. We deserved a vacation.

Lynn's Baby Shower

Lynn Colvin had a baby this summer, but this was at her baby shower. Her new baby girl is Summer Lynn Colvin!

Laudanne's Bridal Shower

I went to Laudanne's bridal shower this summer. She and Zach are getting married!

Happy Father's Day

So, for Father's Day this year Marcus and I were able to go to Sacramento and spend time in Modesto. The pink and blue cake was to celebrate Father's Day and my mom's birthday. It was fun to make! Marcus decorated the chocolate one for his dad in Modesto.

Doug's 18th Birthday

We had a party for Marcus's youngest brother, Doug! He turned 18 on the 21st, but we had an early surprise party for him. It was lots of fun partying with the Jankowski family!

Temple Trip

Marcus and I took a temple bus to the Oakland Temple at the end of April. We had a very enjoyable time. I forgot to take a picture of the temple when we were outside, so I had to take it inside the bus. It was a rainy evening...

Summer In Modesto

As some of you know, Marcus and I have moved to Modesto for the summer and we are living with Grandpa and Grandma Harrison. We're really enjoying it here. Marcus is taking care of his grandparents at his parents home just 2 minutes away. Since it is in home care, Marcus gets paid for it by the government. He is really enjoying that. I have found a job and will be working in a Farmers Insurance office for one of the men in our ward here.

Other than working, I've been successful in teaching Marcus how to play the piano! He's actually got the hang of it real quick! We've also been playing tennis just about every day for a couple of hours in the evening. That keeps us in shape. I'm reading some books and we're also watching the NBA playoffs just about every night too. We're staying busy!

(I have also just updated my blog. This last semester was crazy!)

Teacher, Teacher!!!

This last semester I took a senior practicum class where I went to an elementary school and taught in a fifth grade classroom for two full school days each week. I really learned how to teach much better and I got to know the kids really well. I taught a science unit about planets and space and that was lots of fun! When I left at the end of the semester one of the girls in the class made me this desk out of a shoe box! It was so cute and creative... of course, because of the move I had to throw it away, but not without taking a picture :)

Winter 2009 Semester

Jon was in Rexburg, Idaho with us for his first semester at BYU-Idaho! We had him over several times and enjoyed his company. Marcus took these pictures when we were watching Sunday afternoon conference at our apartment.

Stormy Rexburg

This is just a picture that I took right outside our apartment window in Rexburg, Idaho. This was a crazy storm. Marcus and I stared out the window watching the thunder storm for at least an hour that day!

Christmas Slide Show

Christmas in California

Marcus and I went to Modesto for one week and then we went to Sacramento for another week. We were really glad that we got to see both of our families... it is very convenient having our parents an hour and a 1/2 away from each other. We love it! We were able to get together with Marcus' dads' sister and all of her kids for Christmas Eve. We had a nativity scene and a gift exchange, and of course lots of family pictures. We had so much fun there. Christmas Eve we drove to Sacramento. We had fun opening presents and spending time with family the rest of the day. On New Years Eve Marcus and I went to my friend Stephanie's house and spent the evening with her and her husband. The trip was fun and we liked being away from cold Idaho... but, now we're back and working on another semester of classes. Actually, it's my last semester of classes, then I student teach in the fall and also graduate in the fall! Marcus will just have one more year after me. We are really enjoying life and being married!

Thanksgiving

Marcus and I went to our Uncle Evan's house for Thanksgiving this year, since it was only an hour or so away. Allie Harrison also came and so did Chris, Marcus' brother. We had lots of fun with the Harrison clan... eating a delicious meal, playing pool, going to the movies... we had a really good time! Although, we found out that back home dad and Jacob did not have it so good... they had run into each other playing hide-and-seek in the dark of the house. Dad ended up with a bloody nose and a black eye - Jacob was actually just fine (Jacob is shorter than dad --> head in face). I also did not come out of Thanksgiving break scarless... I burned my hand on a curling iron, yes, I know all of us girls have done it in one way or another. Other than those mishaps, the break from school was a blast! We hope everyone else had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

21st Birthday!

My birthday was in November and Marcus and I had a fun time! He got me a few presents and made me a steak dinner! It was definitely a surprise :)
