It's all about our little princess...

Kaylie is 17 1/2 months old now! Her vocabulary is expanding like crazy these past couple weeks and she is turning into quite the entertainer and goofball! Kaylie can be quite the sass sometimes; everyone around the house knows that one of her favorite words is "no", but she can also be an absolute sweetheart. She has perfected the art of saying "thank you" whenever it is warranted, and she says it in the most sincere voice.  "I love you" has become one of the most adorable and sincere things she says as well. Kaylie loves to dance whenever there is music or someone else dancing. She tries to copy every word that anyone else says. The only word we are struggling to teach her is "yes"! She lets us know "yes" by saying "huh" or by nodding her head. It has only been recently that she is trying to say "yes". It's a work in progress. Within the past day she is learning to pronounce the "s" sound so she can say things like "face", "bus", "please", "this" and it is adorable seeing her little tongue stick out while pronouncing the words! Kaylie has been going to nursery at church on Sundays with the other kids her age and older. At first she just observed the other kids and did her own thing but now she is getting more comfortable and more friendly. I'll  stay in nursery with her until she is 18 months. She is really shy with other adults so I'm giving her plenty of time to warm up to them. We have been to soccer games and the park recently and there have been 5 year old girls that love to take Kaylie by the hand and befriend her. Fortunately she is finally letting other kids touch her. She used to just look at them and say "no" in her sassy little tone. Kaylie is getting quick on her feet and is becoming quite the pro at going up and down the stairs on her own balance. We love to watch Kaylie grow up and become a sweet little toddler!

Here are some pictures that we have taken in the month of August!

Kaylie loves her bracelets! She will keep them on for a long time until she realizes that she can't do much with one hand!
She fell asleep in her chair finishing her lunch one afternoon while I was vacuuming!
These are her favorite dolls! I have taught her how to sing to them!
Kaylie is getting extremely strong! She can hold up her own weight on the bar!
She loves playing horseback on daddy!
Every once in a while Kaylie will run into the front room, pull herself up on the piano bench and start playing the piano! She loves the piano!
These are an accumulation of all her stuffed animals, all but her 2 huge bears that have been given to her from aunts and uncles.
